Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service / Order Entry specialist in Columbus, OH. You will assist customers, process orders and returns, and maintain accurate records across multiple systems.

You will generate reports, monitor shipments for on-time delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines while coordinating with sales and manufacturing partners.

Job description

• Assist internal and external customers and sales representatives with order entry
• Accurately process customer transactions, including orders, quotes, and returns
• Maintain accurate customer, territory, and facility records and document customer interactions
• Generate reports
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain compliance with Company, State, and Federal regulatory guidelines
• Follow Accounts Receivable policies and practices
• Verify prices and terms according to standard procedures and customer profitability profiles
• Multitask across multiple computer systems and communication platforms
• Maintain current knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures
• Develop working relationships across business functions, with customers, and with manufacturing partners
• Provide customer service and sales support; respond to queries, answer questions, and solve problems
• Communicate pertinent customer information to outside sales representatives or management
• Identify customer requirements and recommend products or solutions
• Upgrade telephone orders
• Introduce and promote new veterinary products during calls
• Place outbound calls to existing customers to suggest additional products and increase sales and services
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent

• General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or companion animal setting preferred
• Proficiency in SAP or related ERP preferred
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Ability to operate a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
• Ability to occasionally move packages up to 10 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing
• Ability to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with coworkers, customers, and vendors
• Ability to read and interpret electronic and written documents
• Willingness to travel minimally (10%) in a local area for a sales ride-along or training opportunity
