Customer Service Representative - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Summary

Responsibilities

  • Answer 40+ calls per day from customers, assisting with questions about benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, and claims.
  • Use multiple computer programs simultaneously to manage calls efficiently.
  • Solve problems independently and aim to resolve issues in a single call.
  • Meet call center goals while providing accurate, polite, and professional service.
  • Listen carefully to understand customer needs and respond effectively, guiding them on next steps.
  • Adapt to procedural or guideline changes while maintaining professionalism from a home environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace at home.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable using computers and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and helpful in challenging situations.

Internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber optic with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

The hourly rate ranges from $17.75 to $19, depending on experience and location, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.
