Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking an entry-level Customer Service Representative in Wood-Ridge, NJ to support inside sales efforts and ensure orders move smoothly from entry to delivery.

You will be the main contact for customers, handle a high-volume phone environment, and report to the Director of Sales. Prior food/beverage experience is a plus, but graduates with strong CS backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Internship or hands-on experience in customer service, call center, or inside sales with heavy call volume.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a natural relationship-building style.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); CRM and order management experience a plus.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and emails, resolve issues, and provide a high level of service.
• Enter and process orders accurately, from placement through delivery.
• Build lasting client relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
• Identify sales opportunities, generate leads, and introduce new products to existing accounts.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to stage orders, manage inventory needs, and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Notify customers of pricing changes and delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate customer records and share daily updates with the sales team.
• Attend daily product meetings, monthly sales meetings, and supplier trainings.

Customer Service Representative (Entry Level)

Inside Sales | Wood-Ridge, NJ | Onsite

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We're expanding our inside sales team and adding a new Customer Service Representative. In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, keeping orders on track from entry to delivery while helping grow the accounts you support. You'll report to the Director of Sales.

We're looking for a proactive, relationship-minded communicator who is comfortable on the phone in a high-volume environment. Food and beverage experience is preferred, but recent graduates with internship or heavy phone experience and candidates from other industries with strong customer service backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $55,000 – $60,000
