The City of Richland is seeking a full-time, in-person Finance Department assistant to provide administrative support, assist customers in person and by phone, handle billing and cashiering, and manage scheduling under supervision.
The position requires a High School diploma, at least one year of customer service experience, and intermediate MS Office skills. The typical schedule is 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with potential flexible options after six months.

Performs administrative support work assisting customers in person and by telephone, receiving and providing customer service information, preparing and processing billing, cashiering, scheduling, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the assigned Director, Manager or Supervisor (supervisor).
This is a full-time, in-person position. Upon hire, the work schedule is a typical Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling options, including a 9/80 schedule with alternating Fridays off, may be available, after 6 months in the position.
Selection will be based on overall qualifications, skills testing (if applicable), and an interview process. The final candidate selected will be subject to a comprehensive background/reference check commensurate to the position.

Regular Full-Time (40hr) Accrual Rates. ( The accrual rates for full time (30-34hr) and part-time positions are pro-rated based upon the position's budgeted hours. )
