Job summary

Sunsrce is seeking an Industrial Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to sell industrial hose, gasket and piping products to business and industrial customers. The role involves heavy phone and internet correspondence, entering sales and purchase orders, and maintaining accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will interpret customer needs, provide quotes, manage part numbers and contracts, and collaborate with account managers to resolve delivery issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, solid modeling, welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of industrial hose, gasket and piping is required.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales of corporate products to business and industrial establishments over the telephone and internet. The Industrial Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative will maintain accounts and conduct day to day activities to keep account customers satisfied. Daily activities include heavy phone and internet correspondence with customers and vendors; source custom, non‑standard, value‑added solutions to customer problems; enter all sales orders and purchase orders into the computer system; and set up part numbers and manage contract files.

Responsibilities

• Sell industrial hose, gasket and piping products and maintain customer accounts
• Take orders on the phone and over the internet
• Enter orders and product quotes into the computer system
• Emphasize sellable features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders obtained
• Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and inventory
• Prepare reports of business transactions in the company database
• Work with account managers to keep account activities up to date
• Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
• This position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement

Additional Responsibilities

• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, solid models and engineering data to translate into an assembly bill of materials, price and quote from available information, then produce fabrication drawings
• Establish component part numbers, set up assembly parts, enter orders, purchase components, create drawings/die files for all branches, schedule projects with production, and follow orders through the process from door to door, solving any problems along the way
• Manage all files including purchase orders, drawings, specifications and models, ensuring orders are followed through from door to door
