Summit Interconnect is seeking a detail-oriented Sales/Customer Service coordinator in Schaumburg, IL to coordinate quotes, manage customer orders, and liaise with Engineering and Manufacturing. The role supports quotes, payment terms, and delivery schedules while ensuring ISO processes are followed.

  • Review all customer-supplied documentation.
  • Define all customers' Special Requirements.
  • Work with Engineering to determine manufacturability.
  • Work with Manufacturing to determine capacity constraints.
  • Quote on all customer RFQ's.
  • Negotiate with customer for price and delivery.
  • Accept and enter all Sales Orders, Change Orders, and Cancellations.
  • Correspond with customers regarding all orders and RFQ's.
  • Follow all ISO procedures.
  • Quote pricing and delivery to customers for standard lead-time product to $25,000.00 without management approval.
  • Quote QTA pricing to $10,000.00 without management approval.
  • Negotiate price and delivery to customer.
  • Accept and enter customer orders on receipt of P.O.

Requirements
About the Role:

Under general supervision coordinates sales quotes and provides administrative customer service functions to support customers' requirements. May act as internal liaison with assigned accounts. Receives customers' engineering package, reviews for manufacturability, develops a cost estimate and pricing, determines best delivery date and communicates quotation. Acts as customers' primary contact on issues regarding order status, including push-outs and pull-ins, order cancellations, and assists in processing returns and credits.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and supervisory staff.
  • Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.
  • Understanding of industry standards and the appropriate application.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work with personal computers.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to keep all job-related information confidential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years’ experience in PCB industry.
  • Prior experience in customer relationship management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long period of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following detailed safety precautions (wearing respirators, handling hazardous materials, working with industrial machinery, etc.)
