Job summary

H 2 O Innovation in Laurel, MS is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist residents with water billing inquiries, payments, and account questions while delivering friendly, accurate service.

You will handle in-person, phone, and email inquiries, process payments, update records, and help with billing adjustments, working in a team that values reliability and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding water bills, payment options, account balances, and billing discrepancies.
• Process payments, review account information, and maintain accurate customer records.
• Assist residents with billing adjustments, payment arrangements, and account updates in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Research and resolve billing concerns, discrepancies, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Explain utility rates, fees, service charges, and billing procedures to customers.
• Assist with water service connections, disconnections, and account changes as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, payments, and account activity.
• Handle customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and through email or other communication channels.
• Protect confidential customer information and follow established procedures and city policies.
• Perform additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned.

H 2 O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H 2 O is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Laurel, MS. This position will assist residents with water billing inquiries, payment processing, account maintenance, and utility service questions while providing excellent customer service.

• $16-18 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding water bills, payment options, account balances, and billing discrepancies.
• Process payments, review account information, and maintain accurate customer records.
• Assist residents with billing adjustments, payment arrangements, and account updates in accordance with established policies and procedures.
