Job summary

H 2 O Innovation is seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class I-II) to join our Laurel, Mississippi team. You will operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes under supervision, perform routine inspections, and maintain logs to support permit compliance.

This entry-level role emphasizes learning and growth within the wastewater field, with opportunities to advance certification levels while following safety procedures and standard operating guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Class I or II Wastewater Operator License required or in process of obtaining
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and plant operations
• Willingness to learn and grow within the wastewater industry to advance certification levels
• Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
• Basic computer skills for data entry and system monitoring
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable, self-motivated, able to work in varying environmental conditions

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes under supervision
• Perform routine inspections, sampling, and basic laboratory testing
• Record operational data and maintain accurate logs
• Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
• Respond to alarms and assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues
• Support preventative maintenance activities on pumps, valves, and other plant equipment
• Assist with process adjustments to help maintain permit compliance

H 2 O is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class I-II) to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi .
