Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support patient accounts in Birmingham, AL. The role requires handling inbound calls and light outbound follow‑ups with an emphasis on first call resolution and patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 0–2 years of experience, and familiarity with medical terminology and PC applications. Bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of prior relevant experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of related or general knowledge of payor-specific or medical billing is a plus.
• Dialer experience is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer service calls and some outbound follow-up calls in a professional, patient-focused manner.
• Aim for first call resolution and assist callers with questions, concerns, or problems.
• Escalate issues to a supervisor when needed and reference appropriate information for resolution.
• Resubmit corrected claims and supporting documentation as needed to improve patient experience.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure proper handling of patient accounts.
