Dovel Technologies, Inc seeks an Health Information Management Manager to lead the HIM department in Birmingham, AL. You will develop policies, ensure compliance with JCAHO standards, and oversee data reporting and staff management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in HIM/Health Informatics, AHIMA RHIA/RHIT certification, and 7+ years of relevant experience, with leadership and process-improvement skills.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in health information management, health informatics, or related field.
• RHIA or RHIT certification by AHIMA is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; 10 years preferred.
• Experience as an HIM manager in multi-facility settings is desirable.
• Experience implementing a new EHR and strong leadership skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and manages HIM department activities, workload and projects.
• Develops policies for standardization and regulated use of medical information.

## Health Information Operations ManagerApply: US - AL, Birmingham: Full time: Posted Today: 44205**Job Family:**Medical Records**Travel Required:**Up to 10%**Clearance Required:**None**What You Will Do:** The Health Information Management Manager plans, develops and manages activities, workload and special projects for the HIM Department. Meets the standards set by the hospital and Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).* Develops policies and procedures for the standardization, control and regulated use of medical information and its availability to users. Ensures compliance with all applicable internal and external standards and regulations. Adheres to national member organization standards relative to best practice. Develops goals for assigned area of responsibility.* Ensures the availability of core measure data for Joint Commission. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical reports; analyzes data to determine if any corrective actions are required.* Manages staff including, but not limited to, staff selection, scheduling, evaluation and disciplinary counseling. Ensures that all employee training needs are met. Recommend promotions.* Develops and monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget.
