Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Annapolis, MD. The role focuses on explaining emission results to motorists and guiding them through waivers and extensions, while ensuring forms meet MVA standards.

Responsibilities include performing emission tests when needed and maintaining a clean, welcoming station. A HS diploma and certification training in emissions testing are required, with hospitality and detail-oriented skills highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification training for customer service/emissions testing preferred.
• Excellent, friendly communication and professional presentation.
• Strong organization and detail orientation.
• Able to stand for long periods, up to 90% of shift.
• Automotive knowledge or prior service experience a plus.

• Guide motorists through waiver processes and extension requests.
• Review waiver/extension forms to meet MVA standards; grant or deny accordingly.
• Perform emission tests when needed.

Job Type: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr, plus a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits and 401k with a company match

We are looking for a passionate Customer Service Representative to join our team and assist our motorists in understanding their emission testing results.

Responsibilities:

• Explain emissions testing results to motorists and help customers understand what to do when their vehicle fails its emission test.
• Guide motorists through waiver process and extension requests.
• Review motorists' waiver and extension forms to ensure they meet MVA standards, then granting or denying each according to state regulations.
• Perform emission tests when needed.
• Creating a clean and professional environment to keep our station clean and welcoming.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of certification training program for customer service/emissions testing
