Job summary

The City of Houston is seeking a Customer Service Representative II for the Houston Water division, located at 718 E. Burress Street, Houston, TX 77022. This on-site role supports field crews, data processing, and customer inquiries with rotating shifts.

Educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED, with two years of related experience; Associate degree can substitute for two years. Salary is determined by pay grade 15, and the city offers an extensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• Two years of administrative or customer service experience required.
• Associate's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and proactive approach to department goals.
• Collect data and request field investigations.
• Coordinate field crew activities and receive information via PC/phone.
• Create, update and cost service requests and work orders accurately.
• Respond to inquiries by telephone or email.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and verify customer concerns.
• Maintain and monitor records and reports; provide guidance to others.
• Perform other admin and customer service duties as requested.
