Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at a customer location. You will provide exceptional service by purchasing products and materials that meet our standards of price, quality and reliable supply.

In this role you will perform procurement activities, manage purchase orders, liaise with vendors, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. The position requires strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP and inventory management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Procurement activities to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders; monitor orders for timely delivery.
• Research and assess vendors to meet quality, price, and delivery standards.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers; resolve payables issues.
• Follow SOPs; keep worksite professional, clean and neat; perform other duties as assigned.
