The City of Richland Hills is seeking a qualified permit technician to support planning and permitting operations in a municipal government setting. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of general office experience are required.

Bilingual abilities are preferred, and a valid Texas driver's license is required. Preferred candidates may have college coursework, experience in construction-related fields, and knowledge of local permits or planning processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience in a general office environment.
• Some college, experience in a construction related field and municipal government experience in permits or planning is desired.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and organizational skills and have regular, reliable attendance and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Possession of an appropriate, valid Texas driver's license.
• ICC Permit Technician certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
