Job summary

The City of Richland is seeking an engineering technician to support permitting through plan reviews, interpreting complex drawings against municipal codes and applicable laws. The role covers roadway and utility design, inspection support, and related work under the Public Works Director.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CADD or related field.
Five years' civil/engineering or construction inspection experience.
Valid driver’s license; Flagger Certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Review construction plans for compliance with City standards, municipal codes, and engineering principles in roadway and utility design.
Check engineering calculations and information to review drawings and plans.
Write technical reports or letters to summarize plan review comments.
Review materials and estimates for construction projects.
