Job summary

Description

Spang Power Electronics, a division of Spang & Company, has an excellent career opportunity for a Customer Service/Inside Salesperson based in Mentor, OH. This position will be responsible for providing sales support and general customer service activities. The Customer Service/Inside Salesperson will answer and distribute incoming customer calls, serve as the primary sales channel for direct part number proposals, enter orders, create invoices, follow up on outstanding proposals, and professionally represent Spang to new and established customers across all media channels.

We design and manufacture systems and products for industrial control applications all over the world, specializing in SCR Power Controllers, custom Transformers, and AC/DC Power Systems. Spang Power Electronics is headquartered in Mentor, OH, with sites in Sandy Lake, PA, and Xiamen, China.

Primary responsibilities include managing incoming calls and general sales email for the Sales & Engineering office; addressing customer questions and concerns; reviewing and processing purchase orders; preparing sales quotations; confirming product lead times; and following up on project, order, and shipment status. The role also involves sending acknowledgments, confirmations, delivery notes, invoices, and tracking information; maintaining customer and sales-part records in the ERP system; submitting new customer information for customs compliance and credit checks; processing tax-exemption documentation; assisting Industry Managers with parts-pricing requests and order entry; updating related work instructions; collaborating across departments and locations; conducting customer, market, and competitor research; and analyzing sales data in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing and at least one year of experience as a Customer Service Representative or Inside Salesperson, preferably working with industrial customers. Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and computer skills. Knowledge of an ERP system is preferred, and multi-lingual capability is a plus.
