Job summary

U-Haul is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Baton Rouge, LA. You will be the face of our service, helping customers with rentals, equipment inspection, and safety checks. Use U-Scan to manage inventory and coordinate dispatch and returns from a busy location.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, moving equipment, and educating clients on our products. On-the-job education is provided, and certifications offered for propane fueling and forklift operations.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Ability to learn new systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect equipment on the lot and maintain safety standards.
• Educate customers on products and services and answer questions.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring (certified upon employment).
• Propane fueling and forklift operation (certifications offered upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
