Job summary

WinCo Foods seeks a self-checkout/retail attendant to provide friendly, efficient service across checkout stations. You will process purchases, answer questions, and ensure accurate pricing and scanning in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

The role supports both regular check stands and self-checkout lanes, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loss prevention. You must be at least 16, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Able to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication skills.
• Ability to operate cash registers, scanners and scales with basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers with friendly, cooperative service.
• Process transactions accurately at check stands or SCO lanes.
• Maintain proper pricing and stock at the checkout area.
• Assist at self-checkout to resolve alerts and ensure smooth transactions.
• Follow all cash handling policies and safety guidelines.
