Job summary

WinCo Foods in Moses Lake, WA is hiring a Self-Checkout Attendant to deliver friendly, efficient service at our 24/7 locations. You will help customers, operate SCO lanes and check stands, and process transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires flexibility for varied shifts, including nights and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You must be at least 16, have good math, and follow all safety and cash handling policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers.
• Accurately process transactions and manage money.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, and thanks customers while maintaining a friendly service attitude.
• Operates cash register, scanner, and scale to process customer orders and payments.
• Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Handles cash, checks, gift certificates, and coupons following cash-handling policies.
• Maintains knowledge of product locations and pricing; keeps check stands clean and stocked.
• May be assigned to self-checkout lanes or customer service as needed.
• Follows all laws and policies related to sale of restricted items; adheres to USDA food stamp procedures.
• Regularly moves within SCO area to expedite transactions and monitor for errors.
• Responds to alerts and assists customers at self-checkout kiosks to ensure accuracy and limit shrinkage.
• Maintains safety and reports concerns per company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
