Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. You will interact with shoppers and teammates to deliver a friendly shopping experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication, with responsibilities ranging from answering questions to processing transactions and maintaining store security.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and teammates.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, keep areas neat.
