The role emphasizes friendly service, the ability to assist with various home improvement needs, and collaboration with team members to meet customer expectations daily.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying data)
• 6 months experience using common retail technology (smartphones, tablets)
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills
• Able to stand/sit for extended periods and perform duties
• Normally lift up to 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver friendly, professional service
• Assist customers locating and handling merchandise
• Stock shelves and replenish supplies as needed
• Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time
• Cross-train in other store areas to improve service
• Prepare department merchandise per customer needs (e.g., paint, lumber)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Perform other duties as assigned
