Job summary

Big Lots is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide excellent service, greet customers, assist with merchandise, and handle transactions. You will help unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain store appearance to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications include high school or better, retail experience preferred, and ability to lift up to 50lbs. A flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays) is required.

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs and meet demands of walking and standing.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer engagement in positive and approachable manner.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience.
• Unloads merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports to floor.
• Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store.
• Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Remains aware of customer activity to ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to maintain store operations.
