Job summary

Big Lots is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide friendly, helpful service to customers. You will greet shoppers, assist in locating items, and complete purchases at the checkout while maintaining a clean, organized store.

Responsibilities include stocking, unloading deliveries, and ensuring a safe shopping environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior retail, grocery or related environments preferred.
• Physical requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs; standing, walking, lifting and other movements.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, communication, problem solving and organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Complete transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Unload trucks and stock shelves as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment for customers.
• Protect customer funds and ensure secure checkout procedures.
• Acknowledge and respond to customer questions and needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
