Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores by providing essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, complete transactions, and answer questions about store and products.

You may also unload trucks, process freight, recover merchandise, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or better.
• Experience preferred in retail, hospitality, grocery or drug store environments.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer engagement in positive and approachable manner.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience.
• Unloads merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers stock to sales floor.
• Stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store.
• Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Maintains awareness of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Performs other duties to support store operations.
