Job summary

Technique is seeking a Customer Quality Specialist to own all customer portal communication, PPAP execution in ETQ Reliance, and supplier-scorecard management at our Jackson, Michigan facility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quality labs with GD&T, CMM, and capability studies, plus PPAP experience with automotive OEMs. This role collaborates with Sales, Estimating, and Quality Engineering across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality preferred; equivalent experience considered
• ASQ CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on quality lab experience in metrology, GD&T, CMM, and gage R&R
• Direct PPAP execution experience with heavy-equipment or IATF 16949 automotive OEM
• Experience in customer portals: PPAP submissions, non-conformances, scorecards
• Familiarity with ETQ Reliance or similar QMS
• Fluent in GD&T, blueprint reading, and OEM standards
• Experience leading 8D/RCCA/CAR responses
• Ability to coordinate between shop floor, video calls, and commercial reviews
• Prior supplier quality/customer quality/program mgmt at tier-1 OEM preferred

Responsibilities

• Own customer portal communication and quality liaison for accounts
• Maintain and update customer quality documents (PFMEAs, control plans, inspection criteria)
• Manage supplier performance evaluations and response actions
• Support Estimating and Sales with customer-specific requirements
• Coordinate with Sales and Estimating to route conversations to internal experts
• Identify opportunities and surface new programs or scope expansions
• Translate requirements into Technique documentation and control plans
• Execute PPAP workflow in ETQ Reliance from staging to closure
• Lead corrective actions and RCCA depth across the plant
• Own PPM tracking and link to corrective-action backlog
• Coordinate customer audits and site visits with cross-functional teams
• Lead supplier scorecard and roadmap; report performance to leadership
