Job summary

Technique is seeking a Quality Manager for our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will lead the Quality department, own customer-facing quality performance, and drive KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, scrap rate, and first-pass yield.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, you will oversee QMS, continuous improvement, and audits across welding, fabrication, and assembly. A 10+ year background in production quality with ASQ credentials and ISO 9001 familiarity is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production manufacturing quality experience with a B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• ASQ credentials and ISO 9001 knowledge; familiarity with AS9100/IATF is a plus.
• Experience leading quality teams, internal audits, and supplier quality programs.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC; welding/fabrication quality a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Customer Quality leadership and RCCA using 8D, 5 Why, and CI methods.
• Coordinate customer source inspections and drive corrective actions.
• Manage customer complaint response timelines and closure of actions.
• Represent the company with customer quality reps and auditors.
• Own quality KPIs including PPM, COPQ, scrap rate, first-pass yield, PPAP.
• Support QMS and drive continuous improvement aligned to ISO 9001.
• Oversee internal audits, train auditors, and track corrective actions.
• Coach and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Auditors.
