Job summary

Knowles' Cornell Dubilier brand is seeking a Quality Engineer to serve as the primary liaison for customers on quality issues, concerns, and feedback. You will apply structured problem solving to identify root causes and manage CAPA plans to prevent defective parts from reaching the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing), Quality Management, or a closely related technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in quality control, assurance, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, MSA, and interpreting engineering blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding quality issues, concerns, and feedback.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, Six Sigma) to resolve field failures and internal defects.
• Oversee quality documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (QMS/AS9100).
• Develop, track, and implement CAPA plans to prevent defective parts from reaching customers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design teams to improve process robustness and reliability.
• Monitor warranty data and RMAs to mitigate financial impact and drive improvements.
• Communicate CIP programs to customers and support change management per requirements.
• Maintain a technical knowledge base and compile issue reports.
