Job summary

Knowles is seeking a Quality Customer Engineer for our Liberty SC Facility. You will serve as the primary quality contact for clients, conducting root-cause analysis and leading CAPA efforts to prevent defective parts from reaching customers.

You will ensure QMS compliance, coordinate with manufacturing and design teams for continuous improvement, and maintain clear customer communications to escalate issues and drive timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–6 years in quality control, assurance, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding quality issues, concerns, and feedback.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (5-Whys, Fishbone diagrams, Six Sigma) to resolve field failures and internal defects.
• Oversee quality documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements from QMS, specifically AS9100.
• Develop, track, and implement CAPA plans to stop defective parts from reaching customers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design teams to prevent process variations and improve product reliability; communicate CIP programs to customers.
• Monitor field warranty data, RMAs, and customer scorecards to mitigate financial impacts; develop Pareto analyses and corrective actions.
• Develop customer relationships and communication channels to improve rapid response to customer quality requests.
• Relay customer feedback and usage data to product and engineering for priorities on improvements, features, and bug fixes.
• Maintain a technical knowledge base and compile reports on issue nature and frequency.
• Oversee inspection and test processes to ensure customer requirements.
• Perform quality reviews of catalyst design-FMEA for compliance with customer requirements and quality records.
