Job summary

3D Systems' Rock Hill Customer Innovation Center seeks a hands-on CIC Manager to lead operations, strategy, and customer engagement for our Rock Hill facility that showcases additive manufacturing capabilities and real-world applications.

You will oversee operations, quality, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration, deliver demonstrations and training, manage a high-performing technical team, and collaborate with other locations to share best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5-7+ year's of manufacturing operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, operational metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, model development, or production environments.
• Experience leading teams and managing operational resources.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software is a plus.
• Experience managing manufacturing service bureaus or contract manufacturing operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Rock Hill CIC, including staffing, scheduling, capacity planning, inventory, safety, quality, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage customer benchmarking projects, ensuring parts are delivered on time, within quality standards, and aligned with customer requirements.
• Partner with Sales, Applications Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders to support customer engagement and business growth.
• Coordinate CIC resources across multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain quality systems and operational processes to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Deliver customer demonstrations, workshops, training sessions, and application reviews that highlight 3D printing capabilities and value.
• Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing technical team.
• Collaborate with other CIC locations to share best practices and improve operational performance.
• Manage external partners and suppliers supporting post-processing and value-added services.
• Support product development efforts by providing customer feedback and real-world application insights.
