Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or equivalent; Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret business materials; ability to write reports and correspondence; ability to present information.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and inference.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Physical Demands: Repetitive standing, lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
• Work Environment: Exposure to typical shop conditions; safety precautions observed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly and professional manner and inform waiting customers they will be helped soon.
• Communicate with customers to determine the nature of their mechanical problems.
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle data and advise on car care per manufacturer specifications.
• Provide estimates for labor and parts; obtain payment method and approvals as needed.
• Follow up on repairs and keep customers informed of time estimates and changes.
• Attend meetings and maintain good relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Education

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
