Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. is seeking a Store Associate to join our team, reporting to the Store Manager. You will assist customers, process transactions, receive donations, and help load and unload trailers while ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and presented.

You will sort and grade donations, prepare items for sale, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. A friendly attitude, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds will help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; substitution allowed with 2 years of military service, high school, or related full-time employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with store transactions and checkout.
• Sort and grade donations, stock merchandise, and prepare items for sale.
• Receive donations and unload/load trailers; maintain donation area.
• Operate forklift and assist with loading outgoing truck shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; report repairs as needed.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
