Job summary

Brown County is seeking Library Service Associates to connect customers with library resources, services, and programs. You will assist customers with circulation tasks, troubleshoot patron issues, and answer basic research questions in a welcoming environment.

You will support the mission of the library and help create engaging programs for the community. Under supervision of Librarians and Managers, you will manage day-to-day operations, develop displays, coordinate volunteers, and participate

Qualifications

Demonstrate basic knowledge of library operations, services and materials.
Assess users' needs and provide consistently exceptional customer service.
Follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
Meet the flexible scheduling needs of the Library.
Adapt to changes in the work environment.
Work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with using the Library resources and locate requested materials.
Greet customers and provide information and referrals; assist with circulation tasks.
Develop and implement events and programs under the guidance of the manager and provide programming support.
Recruit and coordinate the work of library volunteers and participate in meetings/trainings.
Perform cashiering, manage deposits, and support cash handling procedures.
