Northwell Health in Melville, NY invites an Associate Financial Services Representative to join a customer-focused team dedicated to delivering accurate information and seamless service experiences to patients and providers.

You will verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, assist with accounts receivable, and support inpatient/outpatient billing while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
• 0-1 years relevant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in the verification of insurance benefits for services prior to admission.
• Obtains timely pre-authorization for all outpatient and inpatient services.
• Addresses customer inquiries and resolves service issues related to accounts receivable, negotiating and advising on the collection of overdue payments and payment plans.
• Coordinates inpatient billing.
• Provides support for all finance issues and ensures compliance with regulations and contracts.
• Assists in patient billing and maintaining pertinent records as required for maintenance of certification.
• Coordinates with nursing staff in planning and organizing program activities.
• Most contact is internal and/or customer service oriented.
• Tasks are routine, structured and transactional with defined guidelines.
• Elevates questions or problems to senior team members when needed.
• Prioritizes basic tasks within standard practices.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance for a single area.

Educación
