Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Team Member to support everyday store operations, greet customers, and help with merchandise while processing sales at the POS. You will assist with loading/unloading donations and keep the sales floor organized and inviting.

This role requires basic math, strong communication, and reliable transportation. Retail experience is preferred, and you will follow safety rules and contribute to team goals in a busy nonprofit retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personalities.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions about store operations and merchandise.
• Assist customers with finding items and loading/unloading merchandise.
• Merchandise products and maximize presentation and floor layout.
• Move inventory from racks to the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Maintain merchandising standards for store recovery.
• Operate the cash register and POS systems.
• Keep cash wrap area organized and remove hangers as needed.
• Meet production standards and rotate products on the floor.
• Notify management about low or overstocked merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a friendly attitude.
• Adhere to policies, safety regulations, and company principles.
