Job summary

gfsapplegreen is hiring for an Associate / Cashier position at our Express Lane / Pitt Stop Convenience Stores SC. The role involves greeting customers, operating the register, promoting sales, and maintaining store cleanliness and inventory.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is 18+, and can work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays while delivering exceptional customer service. Basic safety compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Open availability to work weekends and holidays and varying shifts.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists them in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Operates cash register, promotes sales and ensures cash control per guidelines.
• Cleans, stocks and maintains checkout area, cooler/freezers, equipment, shelves and displays.
• Cleans, stocks and maintains external property: sidewalks, drives, pump islands, displays, air machines, ice machine.
• Participates in team efforts to achieve store or company goals.
• Follows safety policies and performs duties safely.
