Job summary

gfsapplegreen is seeking an Associate / Cashier to process customers at the Express Lane / Pitt Stop Convenience Stores SC. The role reports to the General Manager and is non-exempt/ hourly.

The cashier will promote sales, handle cash and maintain cleanliness and organization of the store. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the register, stocking and cleaning both interior and exterior areas, and supporting store goals with a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Open availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists them in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Operates cash register, promotes sales and ensures cash control within guidelines.
• Cleans, stocks and maintains checkout area, equipment and displays.
• Cleans and stocks exterior areas including pump islands and service areas.
• Participates in team efforts to achieve store goals.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and follows safety policies.
