Job summary

gfsapplegreen is hiring for an Associate / Cashier to support the Express Lane / Pitt Stop Convenience Stores SC. The role emphasizes customer service, cash handling, cleanliness, and safety compliance in a fast-paced store environment.

The position requires 18+ years old, high school diploma or GED, and open weekend/holiday availability with flexible shifts. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Open availability to work weekends and holidays and varying shifts.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Greets customers and assists them in a friendly and helpful manner; responds to inquiries within guidelines.
Operates cash register, promotes sales and maintains cash control per guidelines.
Cleans, stocks and maintains checkout area, coolers, equipment, shelves, displays, floors and restrooms.
Cleans and stocks external areas: sidewalks, drives, pump islands, displays, air/ice machines; measures fuel tanks.
Participates in team efforts to achieve store goals; follows safety policies.
