Job summary

Beacon Bank seeks a Teller in New Hartford, NY to serve as the main contact for customers and process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments with accuracy and efficiency.

You will promote digital banking, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and support branch goals while ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. Weekend availability and travel to nearby offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good listening, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Prompt and reliable attendance.
• Available to work Saturday hours and travel to nearby offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding customer experience at all points of contact.
• Build, retain, and expand customer relationships by recommending and referring products and services to meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with digital banking services and recommend convenient banking options.
• Participate in branch initiatives and community involvement to develop new business.
• Recognize and offer recommendations for customer needs and referrals to line of business partners.
• Meet or exceed teller incentive goals and contribute to branch goals.
• Process financial transactions, balance cash drawer daily, and handle cash accurately.
• Follow bank policies and procedures, ensuring security and confidentiality; comply with BSA/AML requirements.
