Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandise presentation, deposits, and daily operations to maximize profitability and minimize loss.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling staff, following policies, and maintaining inventory and planograms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate POS to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, restocking, and display.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages and markdowns.
• Support planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
