Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist the Store Manager in supervising staff, merchandising, deposits, and daily store operations to maximize profitability and protect assets.

The role involves stocking, cashiering, opening/closing duties, training, and enforcing company policies while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms as directed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash handling procedures; deposit funds when required.
• Assist in managing store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
