Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandising, deposits, and store operations under the Store Manager's direction.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to manage schedule, training, and inventory while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret operating and safety instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and handle point-of-sale transactions.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and protect store assets.
• Support cashier accountability, deposits, and bank visits.
• Assist in store operations during Store Manager absence.
