Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise, deposits, and paperwork, while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Your role includes assisting the Store Manager with scheduling, training, and cash handling, plus ensuring planograms and inventory are maintained in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Good communication, organizational and mathematical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays following planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Handle refunds and cash deposits with accountability.
