Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and assist with deposits, while protecting assets and reducing losses.

You will lead customer service, help schedule and train employees, handle cash and reports, and support operations including planograms and audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees and safety meetings.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, including stocking and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage damages and deposits.
• Assist with planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure cash control and deposits are handled per company policy.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
