Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Associate/Cashier to engage customers, handle purchases, and maintain clean, organized departments. You will unload merchandise, stock shelves, and assist in promotional events while delivering fast and friendly service.

Responsibilities include operating POS, processing payments, answering questions, and supporting store operations with a teamwork-driven attitude. Bilingual highly valued; flexible availability required.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience in a similar position or proficiency in handling transactions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to support a customer-focused culture.
• Ability to operate a cash register and POS system, plus basic computer/phone use.
• Willingness to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Able to work as part of a team with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Regular and punctual attendance is expected.
• Flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help unload trucks and stock assigned department; keep area clean and organized.
• Execute daily goals with urgency and attention to detail.
• Work well as part of a retail team and participate in daily huddles.
• Remove and adjust price tags as needed after promotions.
• Restock displays, watch end caps and side wings.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers in store areas.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and issue credits as needed.
• Assist in training peers and participate in store campaigns and promotions.
