Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a cashier to support daily sales, customer service, and store operations. You will operate the cash register, greet customers, and wrap or bag merchandise while maintaining a clean and secure checkout area.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers via phone or in person with prompt, friendly service.
• Operate the POS system to ensure accurate sales data and pricing codes.
• Handle cash transactions including promotions and discounts.
• Promote the Round Up program to support store mission.
• Clean front doors, counters, and display areas; stock shelves.
• Assist in promotions and store displays.
• Stock and maintain counter; ensure neat cash wrap area.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to management.
• Assist in training new cashiers.
• Maintain security of cash receipts and store inventory.
• Attend in-service training as assigned.
