Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a cashier associate to support customer service, operate the POS system, and help maintain a clean, secure store environment. You will handle cash, assist with promotions, and ensure rounds up are encouraged to support the mission.

Strong teamwork and a friendly attitude are essential. Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking merchandise, training new cashiers, and maintaining a neat sales floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers by phone or in person with prompt, friendly, courteous service.
• Operate the cash register/POS to ensure accurate sales data and pricing.
• Handle cash accurately and process promotions and discounts properly.
• Encourage customers to participate in the Round Up program.
• Clean and maintain front of store areas, counters, doors, and glass.
• Assist with promotions, postings, and sign displays.
• Stock and present merchandise neatly; rotate stock as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to management.
• Assist in training new cashiers.
• Clean dressing rooms and hang clothes as needed.
