Job summary

Fabick Cat Rentals is seeking a Rental Consultant to be the first impression for customers, delivering a welcoming, professional rental experience from inquiry to contract completion. You will listen carefully, ask insightful questions, and connect customers with the right equipment solution while coordinating with branches to ensure availability and smooth delivery.

Strong communication, ownership, and a service-first mindset are essential, along with learning our equipment and rental processes

Qualifications

• Two or more years of customer-facing experience in service, hospitality, retail, or similar.
• Demonstrated service orientation with active listening and care.
• Polished communication skills to build trust with many customers.
• Willingness to learn equipment knowledge and rental processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Accurate data entry and use of MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Interest in growing within the rental business over time.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, professional experience for every customer in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs and timing.
• Own customer requests and follow through to resolution.
• Recommend rental equipment and coordinate with branch resources.
• Prepare quotes and rental contracts with proper docs and insurance.
• Coordinate with operations, service, sales for availability and delivery.
• Respond to concerns with urgency, empathy, and solution focus.
• Support in-store sales and inventory activities as needed.
• Build knowledge of Fabick Cat Rentals equipment and stay updated.
• Represent Fabick Cat Rentals with professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
