Job summary

Qualifications

• Effective communication and basic math skills are required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a retail setting.
• Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Frontend experience is a plus for this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve goals.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer product questions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions or suggestions.
• Monitor and control department expenses and inventory discrepancies.
• Manage scheduling, cash control, and daily records for the department.
• Assist with budget, P&L reviews, and action on financial reports.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; ensure safety compliance.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
