Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a Cashier/Checker position at the Falcon Market location in Falcon, CO. You will greet customers, process transactions, and ensure accurate tender handling while following company policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires strong math skills and prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus. This on-site position offers flexible scheduling in both full- and part-time roles and the opportunity to contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits, and manage loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Provide honest and integrity-driven service.
• Follow directions and seek help as needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
