Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Cashier/Checker at our 3050 Meridian St, Anderson, IN store. You will greet customers, process transactions at the check lane quickly and accurately, and help ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

You will work with the POS system, handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and loyalty offers, and follow company policies. Teamwork, honesty, and customer-focused service are essential, with growth opportunities within Kroger.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, LNS, coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and protect against loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
